In the late hours of a summer evening in Brooklyn, the life of 38-year-old Ikim Green was tragically cut short. On June 19, 2025, just before midnight, Green, a Black male, was shot multiple times outside 541 Marcy Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. Officers from the 79th Precinct responded to a call around 11:35 p.m. and discovered him with severe injuries on the sidewalk.
Emergency services rushed Green to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, but his wounds proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
