Hakeim “Poizon” Hutchinson, 31, a Black / African American male, was killed in a shooting outside a home on Rockaway Parkway in Brooklyn, New York, on the morning of July 3, 2025. The block sits near the border of Canarsie and East Flatbush, and the violence unfolded at a time when the neighborhood was just waking up—an ordinary summer morning turned suddenly frantic.
Police said the shooting happened just after 7:30 a.m., along Rockaway Parkway between Avenue B and Ditmas Avenue.
