Clyde Ricks, 32, a Black/African American male, was finishing a Friday afternoon in Downtown Brooklyn when the evening rush swallowed Jay Street. Just after 5:30 p.m. on August 1, 2025, he was shot in the torso near the Jay St–MetroTech subway complex, steps from a storefront at 391 Jay Street between Fulton and Willoughby.
