Brenton Tarell Samuels, 31, a Black man from Charlotte, North Carolina, died in the early morning hours of September 27, 2025. Just after 2 a.m., officers were called to the 8800 block of Hollow Creek Circle in the University City area, at an apartment community off Mallard Creek Road.
