On June 8, 2025, shortly after 5 p.m., 22-year-old Michael Maxon, male, was sitting in a vehicle outside the Elite Supermarket & Grill in the 8300 block of North Broadway in St. Louis’ Baden neighborhood when gunfire erupted. Police arrived to find Michael Maxon mortally wounded in the parking lot; an 8-year-old girl had suffered a graze wound to the wrist, and a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg was found about a block away.
