On June 11, 2025, 27-year-old Lawyer Lewis II, a Black male from the St. Louis area, was found shot inside a home on the 11100 block of Ruesta Drive in Spanish Lake, an unincorporated community in north St. Louis County. Officers were called shortly after 4 p.m.; despite responding quickly, they pronounced Lawyer Lewis II dead at the scene. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Homicide Tracker lists the case as a fatal shooting on that block, confirming his age, gender, and the location.
