On the evening of June 11, 2025, authorities in the Spanish Lake area of North St. Louis County, Missouri, were alerted to a shooting incident that would result in the tragic loss of a young father. The victim was identified as Lawyer Quincy Lewis II, affectionately known to his friends and family as 'Tu.' Born in St. Louis, he was a beloved son and a dedicated father to a young son named JacQueem. Lewis had a vibrant history in the community, having graduated from Hazelwood Central High School before pursuing studies in the Industrial Engineering Program at Ranken Technical College. In his youth, he was an avid athlete, playing for the University City Soldiers in the Junior Football League, where he celebrated multiple championships. His loved ones remembered him for his infectious laughter, his love for 'old-school' and reggae music, and his childhood fascination with Spiderman, which often saw him fearlessly climbing furniture in his family home.
Following the shooting, the St. Louis County Police Department launched a homicide investigation to determine the circumstances leading up to the violence. As of the initial reports and subsequent updates, detectives had not released specific details regarding a motive or the events that precipitated the shooting. Law enforcement officials did not immediately name any suspects or announce any arrests in connection with the case.
