In the summer of 2025, a tragedy unfolded in Jackson, Mississippi, that cut short the life of 33-year-old Carrie Lotasha Fields. On a Tuesday in June, police were called to the 3600 block of Jayne Avenue, where they discovered Fields had been fatally shot.
