On June 15, 2025, in Laurel, Mississippi, 35-year-old Kenneth Dean was shot on Johnson Circle and did not survive. Family and friends knew 35-year-old Kenneth Dean as “Kent Kent,” a Laurel native whose death shook the neighborhood he grew up in and still called home.
