On May 28, 2019, 17-year-old Latoris Vondale Cooley Jr. tragically lost his life to gun violence in Laurel, Mississippi. The incident was reported as an apparent accidental shooting.
Following his passing, funeral services were held on June 8, 2019, at United Missionary Baptist Church in Laurel. Latoris was laid to rest at St. Peter Baptist Church Cemetery in Vossburg, Mississippi.
