Kendale James Hunter, a 31-year-old man, was killed by gun violence in Laurel, Mississippi on Friday, April 12, 2024. The incident in which he died was a double shooting that took place in the Shadowood area.

Following the shooting, a suspect was identified and taken into custody. The individual faces charges of murder and kidnapping in connection with the event that led to Hunter's death. In a subsequent court appearance, the murder suspect was denied bond.
