On the afternoon of May 18, 2025, in New Orleans’ Hollygrove neighborhood, Dave Jefferson, 45, male, was found shot inside a vehicle at the intersection of Edinburgh and Eagle Streets after reports of gunfire around 1:40 p.m. Responding officers and EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene, and the area—near the 8700 block of Edinburgh Street—was cordoned off as a homicide investigation began.
