In the quiet neighborhood of Hollygrove, New Orleans, a Sunday afternoon was shattered by the sound of gunfire on May 18, 2025. Responding to a call of shots fired at the intersection of Edinburgh and Eagle Streets, New Orleans police officers arrived to a grim scene. Inside a black Nissan sedan, they discovered the body of 45-year-old Dave Jefferson. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
