It was a Friday afternoon in New Orleans, on February 28, 2014, when the life of 26-year-old Anthony David Simon Jr. was tragically cut short. He was walking with his four-year-old daughter in the 8700 block of Pritchard Place in the Hollygrove neighborhood, a moment of ordinary life that was about to be shattered by sudden violence. Shortly after 5 p.m., a gray vehicle approached them, and its occupants opened fire.
