Wynston Jackson, aged 19, was shot and killed on January 31, 2017, in New Orleans, Louisiana, in an incident that occurred outside Edna Karr High School during a basketball game. Jackson was one of two victims in the shooting, the other being 18-year-old Lawrence Williams IV. The two young men were attempting to enter the basketball game between Karr and McDonogh 35 but were turned away, reportedly because the gymnasium was already at capacity.
