In the late hours of a Sunday over Labor Day weekend, the life of 21-year-old Eric Baker, a Black male from St. Louis, was tragically cut short. On August 31, 2025, at approximately 11:35 p.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the night in the 2100 block of Fairhaven Drive in Jennings, a suburb of St. Louis. Officers were dispatched to the scene after a ShotSpotter activation and discovered shell casings littering the ground in front of a residence.
