In the late hours of September 24, 2025, a grim discovery was made in the Fairground neighborhood of St. Louis. Inside a vehicle parked in the 4500 block of Fair Avenue, 28-year-old Malik McDile, a Black male, was found with a gunshot wound to his head. First responders rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was initially listed in critical but stable condition. Despite medical efforts, McDile succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after 1:45 p.m. on September 25, 2025.
