On June 10, 2025, a violent incident unfolded in the Dellwood area of St. Louis County, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Lafranz Deandre Wilson Jr. Police officers from the North County Police Cooperative were dispatched to the vicinity of Chambers Road and West Florissant Avenue following reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a chaotic scene involving a vehicular crash at the busy intersection.
Among the wreckage, they found Wilson, a male from Florissant, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds inside one of the automobiles.
The initial investigation revealed that the crash was likely the result of a shooting, as one of the vehicles involved was riddled with multiple bullet holes. Detectives canvassing the area recovered significant evidence of a firefight, collecting approximately two dozen shell casings and three firearms from the scene. One of the recovered weapons was notably equipped with a machine gun conversion device, indicating the high level of firepower involved in the altercation.
Law enforcement officials took a 23-year-old man into custody at the scene in connection with the homicide. While the suspect was arrested immediately following the event, the case was subsequently turned over to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for a review of potential charges.
