On a Sunday afternoon, July 27, 2025, the life of 18-year-old Mia Sims was tragically cut short in Jackson, Michigan. A recent graduate of Jackson High School, Mia was sitting in her car on the 1500 block of Carl Breeding Way, just outside the United People's Community Church where she was an active member, when she was fatally shot in the neck.
