In the late summer of 2021, the life of 18-year-old Sha’Nya Coleman-Young was tragically cut short in Jackson, Michigan. On August 25, 2021, she was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Log Cabin Party Store on Fourth Street. The incident, which authorities later described as a “drug deal gone bad,” sent shockwaves through the community and left her family and friends mourning the loss of a vibrant young woman.
