In the fall of 2016, a young mother's life was tragically cut short in a horrifying act of violence that was broadcast for the world to see. Brittany Marie Southwell, a 26-year-old female from Jackson, Michigan, was shot and killed in her own home on November 8, 2016. The incident stemmed from a dispute that had played out on social media, escalating from online threats to a fatal home invasion.
