Leon Richardson, a 66-year-old resident of Washington Park, Illinois, was fatally shot on August 11, 2024. The incident occurred around 11:57 AM in the 5000 block of North Park Drive, near Good Samaritan Ministries of the Metro East. Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene by St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. after witnesses reported hearing three gunshots.
