Peter Hester Jr., a 36-year-old resident of East Carondelet, Illinois, was tragically killed in Washington Park, Illinois, on September 8, 2023. The incident occurred around 3:45 p.m. near 47th Street and Caseyville Avenue, where local police and the Illinois State Police Major Crimes unit responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Hester had been fatally shot, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
