Black/African American male Jacarin Scott, 14, was shot and killed on July 31, 2025, in New Orleans’ St. Roch neighborhood. In the early morning hours, police were called to the 1600 block of Franklin Avenue, across from a neighborhood convenience store, where officers found 14-year-old Jacarin Scott suffering from at least one gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
