In the heat of a New Orleans afternoon on July 2, 2015, a young man's life was cut short in a burst of violence that continues to baffle investigators. Travis Williams Jr., a 22-year-old male, was diligently at work, crouched underneath a house in the 600 block of North Salcedo Street in the city's Mid-City neighborhood. It was a seemingly ordinary day of construction work that turned into a scene of tragedy when an unknown assailant or assailants fired multiple gunshots, striking Williams.
