Stepfather murdered within minutes of his stepson
Lawrence James Brown, aka 'Son,' was only 53 when he was murdered. He was born into a large family with six sisters and five brothers. Lawrence was a father to seven children, including his stepson, Gregory Hills, who passed away the same day and nearly the same time as Lawrence.
Family and friends described Lawrence as a nice guy with a big heart. He was so much to so many, a father, a cook, a great friend, a handyman, and a leader, and he was loved by so many.
