On the evening of Sunday, April 10, 2016, the life of 31-year-old Bryant Keith Brastfield, an African-American male, was tragically cut short in New Orleans, Louisiana. Authorities responded to a call around 7:30 p.m. and discovered Brastfield's body lying on the grass beneath an I-10 overpass. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The severity of his injuries was such that he was initially identified by a tattoo on his neck.
