On a Sunday morning, July 20, 2025, the life of 17-year-old Camron Anthony Adams of Clinton, Maryland, was tragically cut short. At approximately 11:20 a.m., law enforcement responded to a shooting on Killarney Street. Upon their arrival, they discovered the young male inside a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate attention, Camron was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another adult male was also found with gunshot wounds, though his injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit immediately launched an investigation into the fatal shooting. Initially, detectives worked to identify a suspect and determine the motive behind the incident, and a reward of up to $25,000 was offered for any information that would lead to an arrest and indictment in the case. The investigation was active and ongoing as authorities pieced together the events that led to the deadly encounter.
Through their investigative work, detectives were able to identify a suspect who was known to the victim. On August 5, 2025, the department's Fugitive Unit located and arrested a 17-year-old male from Washington, D.C., initially for the possession of a handgun. Following the arrest, he was charged as an adult with second-degree murder and other related charges in connection with the death of Camron Anthony Adams. The suspect is currently being held at the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
