In the early hours of New Year's Day 2022, a domestic dispute in a Clinton, Maryland home escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 25-year-old Aaron Wilson Frazier. A Black/African American male, Frazier was shot multiple times and later succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. The incident unfolded at approximately 1:40 a.m. inside the family's residence in the 6000 block of Plata Street.
Responding to the scene, Prince George's County Police officers discovered Frazier
suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigation pointed to an argument between Frazier and his stepfather as the catalyst for the shooting. Authorities quickly took the suspect into custody at the home.
The alleged shooter was identified as 45-year-old Marcel Frazier, Sr., the victim's stepfather. He was arrested and charged with first and second-degree murder, along with other related charges. Following his arrest, Marcel Frazier, Sr. was held in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status, awaiting further legal proceedings. The death of Aaron Wilson Frazier marked the first homicide of the new year in Prince George's County.
