Shortly after, another report came in about a vehicle being shot at near the intersection of Highway 1064 and Rufus Bankston Road. Initially, there were no reports of injuries connected to these incidents. However, the true toll of the violence soon became apparent when, just before 4 p.m., Wilson arrived at a local hospital. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
