Daniel R. McCourt, 43, male, White/Caucasian, was found shot at a home on Green Ridge Road in the Cataula community of Harris County, Georgia, on the evening of June 16, 2025. Deputies arrived around 8 p.m. and discovered Daniel R. McCourt with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced deceased at the scene by the county coroner, Joe Weldon. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation assisted the sheriff’s office with crime scene processing as the investigation began.
