In the quiet, early morning hours of June 2, 2023, in Louisville, Georgia, the life of Roosevelt Alexander Jr., a 43-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short by gun violence. Responding to a call about a shooting at approximately 2:45 a.m., deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office arrived at the 1100 block of Wren Lane to a grim scene. They discovered Mr. Alexander outside a residence, having sustained at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
