Eric Council, a 37-year-old Black man, was killed late on September 14, 2024, in Hephzibah, Georgia, after gunfire erupted on the 2400 block of Carroll Drive, a dead-end street off Windsor Spring Road. Reports say police and deputies were called just after 11 p.m. to a shooting scene where Council and another adult woman had both been hit.
