Death by Force

Kenneth Lyles, 31, of Indianapolis, was a Black man whose Saturday morning ended in gunfire on June 28, 2025. He was found shot outside the Carriage House East Apartments, near East 42nd Street and North Mitthoefer Road, after officers in the area heard bursts of shots just before 9 a.m. He and another man, 27-year-old Johnny Talley Jr., did not survive. A third victim was rushed away in serious condition but later stabilized.
