Michael Norris, a 21-year-old White/Caucasian male from Hartford City, Indiana, was shot and killed in the early morning hours of June 29, 2025. Blackford County sheriff’s deputies were called at about 2:45 a.m. to a rural residence on South County Road 500 East, south of Montpelier; the Blackford County coroner later identified the victim as Michael Norris, age 21, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
