In the early morning hours of May 11, 2019, a burst of violence outside an Indianapolis nightclub cut short the life of 23-year-old William Walker. The shooting, which also claimed the life of 42-year-old Charles Reeves, unfolded at Club Venus on the city's near west side. Walker, a young man known and loved in his neighborhood, was reportedly walking into the club while on his phone when he was ambushed in what his mother would later describe as a senseless act.
