A warm and friendly 19-year-old male, Isaiah Joseph Wilson had his whole life ahead of him. A 2024 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, he was pursuing further education at Ivy Tech with dreams of one day launching his own clothing line. Known for his love of baseball and his engaging smile, Isaiah was a beloved son, brother, and friend. His life, however, was tragically cut short in the early morning hours of June 29, 2025.

On that Sunday morning, a person walking in the Butler-Tarkington neighborhood made a grim discovery. Isaiah and his best friend, 19-year-old Jesse Alexander Quiroz, were found shot to death in the 4300 block of Cornelius Avenue. The two young men, who were always together in life, were found deceased together. Medics arrived at the scene and pronounced both of them dead from gunshot wounds.

The hours leading up to their deaths were spent at a party on Cornelius Avenue. It is believed that as they were leaving and walking to Jesse's car, they were fatally shot. A neighbor reported hearing multiple gunshots between 2 and 4 a.m., followed by the sound of a car speeding away. The mother of Jesse Quiroz believes that the two teenagers were targeted.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department launched an investigation into the double homicide. In the initial stages of their inquiry, police had not publicly identified any suspects or determined a motive for the killings. Authorities appealed to the community for assistance, asking anyone with information or home security footage to come forward to help bring justice for Isaiah and Jesse. As of late 2025, there have been no public announcements regarding any arrests or charges in the case.
