In the early hours of July 5, 2025, the streets of downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana, became the scene of a tragedy that cut short the life of 16-year-old Si’Montre Anthony R’Chey Molargik, a Black male. Just after midnight, near the intersection of Columbia and Harrison Streets, an altercation between two groups of teenagers escalated into gunfire.
