Gregory Scott Brewer, 47, a White male, was killed during a robbery at Duffy's III Tavern on Nellis Boulevard in Las Vegas on March 12, 1999. At about 3:30 p.m., a gunman entered the tavern, produced a handgun, and demanded money. Brewer, who was assisting with check-cashing services at the bar he owned, exchanged gunfire with the intruder. He was fatally shot as the assailant fled.
