Do you know who murdered Gregory Scott Brewer? Gregory Scott Brewer, 47, a White male, was killed during a robbery at Duffy's III Tavern on Nellis Boulevard in Las Vegas on March 12, 1999. At about 3:30 p.m., a gunman entered the tavern, produced a handgun, and demanded money. Brewer, who was assisting with check-cashing services at the bar he owned, exchanged gunfire with the intruder. He was fatally shot as the assailant fled.
Police later located a maroon or red Ford Thunderbird believed to be the getaway vehicle and processed it for evidence.
Detectives described the shooter as a Hispanic man in his late 20s, around 5 feet 7 inches tall and approximately 135 pounds. Investigators also said a second man acted as the getaway driver. In the months that followed, the community and local tavern owners raised reward money to encourage tips, and authorities repeatedly appealed for information to identify those responsible. Despite these efforts, the case remained unsolved.
