In a tragic turn of events on the Fourth of July, 33-year-old Cody Chavous, a male resident of Austell, Georgia, was fatally shot during an attempted carjacking at a Cobb County apartment complex. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. at the 300 Riverside Apartments, formerly known as Concepts 21 Six Flags, located in Mableton.
