In the warm summer night of Glennville, Georgia, the life of 32-year-old Black / African American man, Alvin Lashawn Williams, was tragically cut short. On Sunday, July 6, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., the Glennville Police Department received reports of a shooting and was dispatched to an area on MLK Drive, situated between Boyd Street and Green Street. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Williams suffering from a gunshot wound.
