In the quiet town of Taylor, Arizona, a shocking act of violence shattered the community's sense of peace. On Father's Day, June 15, 2025, Cynthia Templeton, a 53-year-old female, and her husband, 62-year-old Troy Templeton, were found shot to death inside their home near the intersection of Center Street and Main Street. The grim discovery was made after Cynthia's ex-husband arrived at the residence to drop off the two children they shared and found the front door ajar, prompting him to call
the police for a welfare check.
Both Cynthia and Troy were respected members of the community and served as volunteer Arizona Rangers. The couple had been married for about a year and a half and were described by family as deeply in love and inseparable. Found unharmed inside the home was Cynthia's 21-year-old daughter, who has special needs. The investigation quickly zeroed in on a prime suspect: Cynthia's 23-year-old son, Francis Alcantar Chavez.
