Murdered

On May 29, 2023, at approximately 11:42 a.m., the Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) responded to a report of a deceased female in the area of Avenue 1E and County 18th Street, east of Somerton, Arizona. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the body of 35-year-old Georgina Montoya, a resident of Somerton, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation determined that Montoya was the victim of a homicide, prompting the YCSO Criminal Investigations Bureau to take over the case.
