Arsenio Hawthorne, a 36-year-old Black / African American man, was shot on a Sunday afternoon in Montgomery and died on June 8, 2025. Police and fire medics were called at 5:21 p.m. to the 1100 block of Bragg Street, near Washington Park, where they found him with a life-threatening gunshot wound; he was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead. Investigators opened a homicide case and asked anyone with information to contact Central Alabama CrimeStoppers.
