In the summer evening warmth of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, a young life was tragically cut short. Floyd Cornell Allen III, a 14-year-old Black male, was found unresponsive in the grass at the intersection of 25th Avenue and South Maple Street. He was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The discovery of the teenager's body marked the beginning of a homicide investigation that would quickly lead to a suspect.
