In the early morning hours of Friday, August 1, 2025, the quiet of a north Phoenix neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Responding to a call around 6:10 a.m. in the vicinity of 40th Street and Meadow Drive, police officers discovered a grim scene inside a residence. There, they found 45-year-old Alma Victoria Suchilt, a white/Caucasian female, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics rushed her to a nearby hospital, but her injuries proved to be too severe, and she was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the shooting quickly pointed to one individual: 47-year-old Jonathan Llamas Cisneros. Investigators learned that Cisneros had fled the scene in a vehicle, prompting a multi-agency law enforcement response. He was tracked heading south on Interstate 8 toward Gila Bend. When authorities attempted to pull him over, Cisneros refused to comply, initiating a pursuit. With the coordinated efforts of several agencies, including the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and the Department of Public Safety, the chase came to an end, and Cisneros was taken into custody. Police stated that evidence connecting him to the murder was recovered at the time of his arrest.

Following his capture, Jonathan Llamas Cisneros was booked on multiple charges, including murder and felony flight.
