In the summer twilight of July 22, 2025, the quiet of a residential Montgomery, Alabama, neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Twenty-two-year-old Tyler Mikhail Cleveland, a Black/African American male, was gravely wounded in the 2100 block of Mona Lisa Drive. First responders rushed him to a local hospital around 9:33 p.m. with life-threatening injuries. Despite medical efforts, Cleveland succumbed to his injuries and passed away the following day, on July 23, 2025.
