In the small community of Lower Peach Tree, Alabama, the life of 33-year-old Dominique Kimbrough was tragically cut short on a Saturday in August. On August 9, 2025, Kimbrough was fatally shot in an incident that also resulted in a juvenile being injured. Known affectionately as 'Fatman,' Kimbrough was a male with a wife and children.
Following the shooting, law enforcement initiated a manhunt for the suspected gunman.
The search concluded the next day when 46-year-old Samuel Earl Agee, a resident of Wilcox County, turned himself in to the authorities. Agee was subsequently charged with capital murder in connection with Kimbrough's death.
In addition to the capital murder charge, Agee also faces charges of attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle. He is currently being held without bail at the Prince Arnold Detention Center. Funeral services for Dominique Kimbrough were held on August 23, 2025, with his final resting place in the New Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery in Lower Peachtree.
