A 35 year old Colorado man is found dead over state lines, near Wheatland, WY
In the winter of 1999, the life of a 35-year-old Hispanic/Latino male named Camilo Moreno came to a mysterious and violent end. His story began to unfold on November 27, 1999, when he was reported missing from Westminster, Colorado. Shortly after his disappearance, a significant clue surfaced when his car was discovered abandoned near Interstate 25 in the vicinity of Castle Rock, located in Douglas County, Colorado. This discovery raised immediate concerns for his safety and whereabouts, sparking an investigation into his sudden vanishing.
The search for Camilo Moreno stretched on for approximately two months, casting a shadow of uncertainty over his family and friends. The grim conclusion to this search came on February 1, 2000, when his remains were found miles away from his last known location. His body was discovered on Grayrocks Road, just outside of Wheatland, Wyoming, turning a missing person case into a homicide investigation that crossed state lines.
