Christopher Richardson, a 12-year-old African-American boy, went missing on June 9, 1980, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was last seen walking toward the Midway Recreation Center in DeKalb County, dressed in blue swimming shorts, a light blue shirt, and blue tennis shoes. His destination was a local swimming pool, but he never arrived. His disappearance occurred during a period of heightened fear in Atlanta, as a series of child murders had begun to grip the city.
