On March 4, 1980, 12-year-old African-American girl Angel Lenair disappeared from her home in southwest Atlanta, Georgia. She had finished her homework and left her apartment around 4:00 p.m., reportedly wearing a denim outfit. She was last seen at a friend’s house watching the television show Sanford and Son. When she failed to return home for her favorite program, her mother, Venus Caroline Taylor, became concerned and contacted the police.
