In April 1991, Kenneth Martin, a 23-year-old Black male, was shot and killed during a violent robbery in the Bowen Homes housing project in Atlanta, Georgia. Martin was one of several victims targeted in a string of random robberies carried out by Richard “Fathead” Wilson, a then 19-year-old Black male known for his involvement in gang activity and prior criminal offenses.
